Our approach
Information architecture
Our website work always starts with developing and defining an information architecture (IA), the system and structure that you use to organise and label content on your website. We’ll create a site map, URL structure, navigation and page blueprints, and share this with you for feedback before we use this to build your new site.
Search analysis and keywords
At the same time, we’re undertaking search analysis, as this can (and should) impact the IA. Our strategic SEO analysis aims to understand how your target audience is currently searching for services like yours, what your competitors are ranking for, and what *you* need to rank for in order to attract your target audience. From here, we’ll write an organic search strategy and create a keyword list for the key pages on the website.
SEO copywriting
Armed with our keyword analysis, we’ll write copy for each page on the new website; this includes metadata, heading structures, and optimised body copy.
UI design
The user interface design will be guided by the page blueprints done in the IA stage. We’ll put forward a couple of different options for the overall look and feel of the site, including navigation, font styles, buttons, forms, icons, links and the footer. Once we’re aligned on the design, we’ll design each page of the new site.
Website build
Depending on what your website needs to achieve, we’ll either build your site on Shoppify, Squarespace or Wordpress. The site will be user-friendly, allowing your team to manage content effortlessly, without requiring technical skills.
Content population
Once the site is built, we’ll populate the site with content, integrate any forms and undertake comprehensive testing (cross-browser, responsive design, performance). Once the site is populated, each page will be sent to you for two rounds of feedback.
Go live and post-launch support
We’ll push the new site live and closely monitor the site’s performance for the two weeks post-launch to make sure that any issues are quickly ironed out.
