FRIDAY FOURTEEN ISSUE 06

September 20, 2019
This week: Where people like to travel alone, ugly-delicious pasta, why so few Australian men take parental leave, excellent reasons to strike for climate justice today, and more.

Last May, when 1.4m school kids around the world walked out of their classrooms to strike for climate justice, they asked for adults to join them next time. That next time is today – September 20. Of course, many people can’t strike today – those who risk getting fired for skipping work, those who can’t do without a day’s wage – and that’s why it’s so important that everyone who has the freedom to strike, does. Here’s some other good reasons to join

I can feel my sons and daughter watching our dynamic all the time, gleaning the roles for themselves as they grow older.")

This delightful video of Tan France from Queer Eye cooking for his co-star Antoni Porowski will leave you wanting to attempt a French omelette this weekend, we guarantee

Signs you’re actually grown up, according to your star sign (“Your exuberance is legendary, Aries, but it can be destructive. Specifically to a delicate silk top that now has a hole in it, or a bag of chips now exploded on the floor, or a love note you may have excitedly ripped from your lover’s still-trembling hands, and so forth.”)
